Measurement explanation:Each probe sends to the others UDP packets (IPv4 and IPv6) in continuous mode. Each minute, results are sent to the central server. The results are composed, amongst other things, of the maximum, the minimum and the average of measures. Tables above show the average (other values can be seen with the history link). The deployed system is provided by CHEETAH Technologies. In all tables, color doesn't mean that we are in presence of a failure or breakdown. The different colors are just a time warning for an event. The color choice just indicates when the event appears: last minute, last 2 hours or last day. |
Example : Delay table ![]() In the case of an event on delay, the warning appears when the delay growth is more than 100%. In this example, 5 paths have a such event in the last 24 hours. |
Example : Packet Loss and Hop number tables ![]() In the last 2 hours we can see packet loss from ant to the Orsay POP (all orange puts), and packet loss from all probes to Paris (green) and some packet loss in last minutes from Strasbourg to Rennes, Paris and Orsay. In this last case the packet loss come from a routing change (see below). Here, we have 4 routing changes in the last minute (purple) and an other change in last 24 hhours (Orsay -> Paris path). |
